Lizeth Gomez began working in the legal field since 2004. She has been working with Mr. Hazen as a paralegal since 2007. She is thoroughly versed in criminal law and procedure. As such, she assists in the drafting of pretrial motions, trial preparation, appellate briefs, record restrictions, and the myriad procedures involved in effective criminal defense. She is familiar with all client files and matters. Ms. Gomez holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Georgia State University and is currently pursuing a law degree at GSU College of Law. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. Consequently, she serves as an interpreter when needed.
Aside from her work in criminal defense, Ms. Gomez is passionate about immigration law and equality in access to education. She has lent her time to organizations such as the Georgia Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Somos Georgia/We Are Georgia, Colombianitos Foundation, and the Georgia Community Learning Center.
